It's a cold, sunny Wednesday morning here in Davos. I wanted to walk along the main streets of the town to truly appreciate its charm and beauty.
I started from Obere Strasse, down the hills to the Promenade. I watched the morning crowds as the locals started their day, and holiday-goers making their way to the ski areas, shops opened early, trucks pulling up in front of MIGROS and COOP, loading cartons of goods and produce. It’s a wonderful feeling. I continued my walk to the quieter stretch of the Promenade, now looking at scattered patches of cottages and apartments, and listening to the occasional sound of distant engines as the trains passed by.
