May........... The month for mothers. That calls for a celebration, don't you think so? My darling little sister is a May baby too, so we are celebrating for 2 good reasons:)
We bought a Lychee Rose cake from Edith Patisserie. The rose-scented sponge cake was layered and sandwiched with chunks of lychee and covered with buttercream, taste like paradise... plus the colour was so pinkish, my niece finished her portion at one go (usually she would take a bite and leave the rest for her mom and dad)
I made some "not-so-sweet" desssert to go along - using just plain yogurt with various toppings.
These are topped with Matcha Pocky sticks and Meiji's Choco baby
Also made some with crunchy peanut butter sandwich cookies from Julie's, and sprinkled with heaps of Milo powder.
Made a few more with blueberry jam and topped with fresh blueberries.
A simple but presentable dessert table, done!
