After we finished the "photo shoot" at Sekolah Menegah Mantin (Secondary School), we drove a short while along the narrow and quiet lanes of the small town.

We also visited the old houses where my mom and family once lived, including the one where I lived as a baby...

The house where I spent my childhood (baby-hood actually)....
see it below... nothing has changed much, even though it's been 30 over years.......... seeing the house after all these years really brought back endless memories...

We left Mantin with fresh memories of the place. Along the way, took in the long-forgotten country side and town scenery.

Abandoned cars under the Jackfruit tree

There is no way my kids get to see such wooden houses in Singapore, real country (kampung) houses where people still live in! In Singapore, old-style buildings would most probably be preserved as heritage site (that means "beautified" already) for visitors and students on educational trips!

An old man passing time idling in front of his house.

"COWS!!!" cried my kids....haa

An advertisement board on coming development of new residential town
Our trip took us an hour and a half before reaching Kuala Lumpur where my grandmother and aunt live. We were elated to see them.
Aunt bought two whole boxes of Paul's Macaron for the kids:)

The evening was spent bonding with grandma and aunt's family.
To be continued...............
